History
Established in 2005
Cinecitta was founded by Romina Tiberia, who was out to remedy the lack of true Roman pizza in San Francisco. Immediately embraced by the locals, Cinecitta soon became a mainstay of the North Beach scene, offering a full menu of authentic Roman specialties culled from Romina's experience as a chef in her nonno's kitchen, just outside the gates of Vatican City!
Meet the Business Owner: Romina Tiberia
Romina was born and raised in Rome, where she apprenticed in her grandfather's pizzeria. Traveling to San Francisco on a dance scholarship, she decided to begin her journey in the culinary business. With a book of recipes from her grandfather ('nonno') Alfredo, she created Cinecitta. Here she an outlet for her biggest passion - delicious Italian food!
